How renewal works

The 1 week, 1 month, 3 month and 6 month plans renew automatically at the same price for the same length until you cancel. Twelve-month plans simply end when the year is up. You can turn off renewal from your account settings.

What each plan includes

Classic membership lets you create a profile, receive daily match suggestions, verify your ID, send a set number of messages per day, and answer anyone on a paid plan who writes to you first.

What works out cheapest per month

Longer plans cost less per month. For VIP, the 12 month plan works out to about C$20.83 a month against C$39.95 for a single month. For VIP Plus, 12 months works out to about C$28.20 a month against C$59.96 for one month. If you just want a taste, a one week plan lets you see the community before committing to anything longer.

Classic, VIP or VIP Plus: which suits you?

Stay on Classic if you're curious, mostly want to browse your daily suggestions, and are happy to reply to people who write to you first. The daily message limit keeps things manageable, and you can still verify your ID and fill out a complete profile.

Pick VIP if you know you want to start conversations rather than wait for them. Unlimited messaging is the big change, and the city and distance search helps a lot if you live somewhere like the Fraser Valley or the Annapolis Valley where the nearest match might be an hour away. Seeing who has liked you also saves time: you can write to people who have already shown interest.

Pick VIP Plus if you want to be noticed sooner. Priority placement puts your messages and likes higher in other people's lists, you appear near the top of daily suggestions, and you get exclusive matches plus access to the Super Match add-on. It suits people who have limited evenings to spend on dating and want each one to count.

Picking a length

A week is a good trial, especially if you join just before a long weekend or a holiday when you'll have time to chat. A month suits most people who are actively dating. Three or six months suit people in small communities where good matches turn up less often, or if you simply prefer not to think about renewals. A year is the most economical choice per month, and because the 12 month plans don't renew on their own, there's no surprise charge when the year ends.

Paying and managing your plan

Prices are listed in Canadian dollars. Upgrades are made from inside your account, and you can see your current plan, its end date and whether it renews from your settings. If you're on a renewing plan and want it to stop, turn off renewal before the end of the current period; your paid features carry on until that date.

A note on value

A paid tier doesn't buy you a date. What it buys is reach and convenience: more messages, better search, more visibility. The best return still comes from an honest, complete profile and thoughtful first messages. If your profile has two blurry photos and a one-word bio, fix that before spending anything.

What you won't find

There are no hidden fees for verification, and no paid tier changes who can see your private details. Nothing on the site is a cannabis purchase of any kind; membership is for dating features only.

Worked examples

Trying it out over a long weekend. One week of VIP is C$19.99. It renews at the same price each week until you cancel, so set a reminder if you only want the one week.

Giving it a proper season. Three months of VIP is C$98.95, about C$32.98 a month. That's long enough to meet a few people without rushing.

Settling in for the year. Twelve months of VIP is C$249.95, about C$20.83 a month, and it does not renew automatically at the end.

Wanting more visibility. VIP Plus for one month is C$59.96. If you're in a smaller town where every match counts, the priority placement can make a real difference.

Currency and taxes

Prices on this page are shown in Canadian dollars. Your bank or card provider decides how any foreign-transaction fees apply, if at all, so check with them if you're unsure.

Before you upgrade

Spend a few days on Classic first. Build your profile, verify, and see the daily suggestions. If you find yourself running into the message limit, or you want to see who has liked you, that's the moment VIP starts to make sense. If you're in a smaller town and want your messages seen first, consider VIP Plus. There's no need to pay for more than you'll use.

If you change your mind

You can switch renewal off whenever you like from your account settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Which plan do most people start with?

Many people start with a week or a month of VIP to see whether the site suits them, then move to a longer plan once they know. There's no wrong choice; it depends on how much time you plan to spend dating in the coming months.
